Stop writing “OLD” in place of “online dating”

  1. It’s not an actual acronym. Online is one word, not two.
  2. It’s already a word: “old”. Consider the sentence “I’m getting new OLD photos taken”. …You’re getting new old photos taken?
  3. It’s unnecessary. If you really feel like “online dating” is too much for you to type out, say “online” or “apps” or “swipe apps”.

    Haha, you got me. I’m guilty of this even in blog posts. Not sure if I’ll change, but while I usually write it out I sometimes feel the need to de-emphasize the phrase “online dating” to lend the words around it more weight/importance.
